PT Bukit Asam Tbk. (ptba) reported exploration activities in the fourth quarter (October-December 2024) in 2024 carried out by ptba internally with third parties (mining service contractors).Niko Chandra, Corporate Secretary of ptba in his written statement on Wednesday (8/1) said that exploration activities in Tanjung Enim using the Coring and Open Hole methods and Geophysical Logging carried out by ptba and Sucofindo resulted in costs of IDR 21.69 billion in the Air Laya and Banko Tengah B areas.The exploration resulted in 59 drill points, 11,204 meters of active mine infill drilling and drilling to expand the exploration coverage area and 54 points of 10,658 meters.Next, coal & rock sampling produced 1,707 coal samples for quality analysis, 299 core drill samples for rock acidity testing, and 565 samples for rock mechanics testing.Meanwhile, for ToCBoC Monitoring of Mining Front in Muara Tiga Besar, Air Laya, West Banko, Central Banko A & Central Banko B with other activities related to exploration and general costs (database management, software licenses, etc.).Meanwhile, exploration activities carried out in the mining area of ​​PT Internasional Prima Coal, a subsidiary of ptba through PT Prasetya Abdi Perkasa, were carried out using the Coring and open hole methods, resulting in 34 drill points, 2,248 meters (579 meters of coring and 1,669 meters of open hole) spending a cost of IDR 2.4 billion.Nico added that exploration activities in Tanjung Enim will continue in 2025, while exploration in the IPC area is updating geological models and preparing geotechnical study reports.
