"Meanwhile, the sales volume for this period reached 53.66 million tons [as of Q3/2024], or up 9% from the nine-month period of 2023," said Febriati, Thursday (7/11/2024). On the other hand, Adaro Andalan Indonesia President Director, Julius Aslan previously said that the current coal price is still quite high. In the future, he said, the coal price is still quite attractive, especially because the Asian market is still good. "The prospect of coal in 2025 is still good, still attractive, but again, it all depends on economic growth in Asia because our market is mostly in Asia, including Southeast Asia," said Julius after listing AADI shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Jakarta, Thursday (5/12/2024). He continued, AADI is aware of the characteristics of the coal business which follows a cycle or is cyclical, and will be greatly influenced by global economic conditions. According to Julius, currently the demand for coal still comes from China, Japan, and India, including in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
