PT adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (AADI) officially stands alone after being separated from the parent group adaro Energy Indonesia. With this separation, adaro consolidates its business into three main pillars, namely energy, minerals, and green energy through PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk or AlamTri (formerly adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk/ADRO).adaro Minerals Director Wito Krisnahadi explained that this change aims to clarify the business focus of each entity."Currently, PT adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk has stood alone as a separate company, with new management that has a completely different business," he said at a press conference in Jakarta , Wednesday (19/3/2025).Wito also revealed that adaro Minerals still uses the stock code ADRO, even though its name has changed to PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk since December 2024."We have submitted a change in the stock code to the Indonesia Stock Exchange several months ago, so as not to cause confusion in the market," he said.In developing its business, adaro Minerals is now focusing on developing an aluminum smelter in North Kalimantan. Wito targets initial production to begin in December 2025."We hope that this year the first 72 pots can start production, and the production ramp-up will continue until 2026," he said.President Director of PT adaro Power, Dharma Djojonegoro, emphasized that Alamtri will focus on renewable energy and minerals. "We are completely separated from the coal business. Even our office will be made separate by building a partition," he said.Dharma also emphasized that differences in business strategies give investors clearer choices."Investors looking for dividends from coal can stay with adaro, while those looking to invest in renewable energy can choose Alamtri," he added.Meanwhile, Director of PT Kayan Hydropower Nusantara, Andhi Marjono, revealed that the Mentarang Induk Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) project in North Kalimantan is still in the initial preparation stage of construction."Currently, the construction progress has not reached 5 percent, and we are targeting full commissioning in 2030," he said.
