PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA), is pushing its performance to maximize the remaining time in 2023.
The subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), which operates in the mining contractor sector, is pursuing an overburden removal (OB) volume of 1.1 billion bank cubic meters (bcm) with a coal production figure of 130 million tons.
UNTR Corporate Secretary, Sara K. Loebis is optimistic that we can catch up with this volume figure. Sara did not specify what PAMA’s projected revenue and net profit performance would be with the volume of operational performance.
“Regarding financial projections, as usual we cannot convey them,” said Sara to Kontan.co.id, (21/11).
The volume of work that PAMA is pursuing exceeds last year’s realization. As a comparison, citing the UNTR Monthly Report, PAMA recorded a stripping volume of 954 million bcm with coal production of 115.8 million tons throughout 2022.
As of October 2023, PAMA had realized a stripping volume of 968 million bcm with coal production of 109.8 million tons since the beginning of the year. These realization figures grew compared to the realization in the same period last year.
The UNTR Monthly Report shows that PAMA’s overburden stripping volume figure amounted to 775.0 million bcm throughout January-October 2022, while PAMA’s coal production figure reached 94 million tons in January-October 2022.
Management is optimistic that operational performance growth can continue next year. “Next year’s production projection is estimated to increase by 4-5% for coal and overburden,” said Sara.
